Itinerary of 7 Days desert tour from Casablanca
We will meet you at your hotel or the airport on the first day of your Morocco tour departing from Casablanca. First up on our itinerary is a visit to the Atlantic Oceanfront Hassan II Mosque. Morocco’s most significant mosque. After that, we’ll make quick stops at a number of Rabat’s monuments, like the Hassan Tower, before moving on to Chefchaouen, also known as the “blue city.” Lastly, spend the night in a classic Medina riad.
You will have free time to explore the blue city at your leisure on the second day of our Imperial Cities tour, which departs from Casablanca and heads to Desert. You can explore the stunning city of Chefchaouen, Morocco’s most visited tourist destination, after breakfast at your accommodation. The thing that makes Chefchaouen stand out the most is the blue color that covers the walls of the Medina in various shades of blue. After arriving at the Chefchaouen Medina, you should start climbing toward the “Ras El Maa Waterfall,” a well-known cascade perched atop a mountain that offers panoramic views of the bulk of the city and its undulating terrain.
The following famous buildings and monuments will pass by as you ascend to the summit: Place “Outa El Hamam,” a serene space encircled by eateries and cafés. The town center of Chefchaouen is home to the completely restored 18th-century “Kasbah,” a walled fortress with a spectacular park. Still, a visit to the “Grand Spanish Mosque” from the fifteenth century would be incomplete. Remain overnight in Chefchaouen.
You will leave for Fes after breakfast at your riad, stopping along the way at Ouazzan and the Roman remains at Volubilis. After a few more hours of driving, you will reach Volubilis, an astonishingly well-preserved Roman city that was founded in 225 BC and is home to some of Morocco’s most beautiful mosaics. During your guided tour of the monument, you will undoubtedly learn a great deal about the Roman Empire. The capital of the Ismailis, Meknes, Morocco, is the next stop. The fascinating Sultan My Ismail-built Bab Mansour Gate, the granary, the Sahrij Souani, which is used for irrigation and crops, and a visit to the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum are all located in Meknes. We then proceed to Fes, the cultural center of
After breakfast, your tour of Morocco’s most important historical and cultural city will commence. The architectural medina of Fes, the “spiritual capital of Morocco,” will be investigated. The Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the Dar El Makhzen, or Royal Palace, with its magnificent mosaic architecture and golden doors, are two stops on our guided tour of Fez. The largest leather workshop in the city, the renowned Chaouwara Tanneries, were established in the eleventh century. One of the oldest universities in the world and the ancient center of Islamic learning, the Kairaouine Mosque, are off-limits to non-Muslims, yet visitors are still able to see the mosque’s courtyard from the gates. Some of the most striking specimens of Islamic architecture may be found at the Al-Attarine Madrassa and the Najjarine Marble Fountain, which are both religious institutions.
One of Fes’s most beautifully designed houses of worship is the Bou Inania Medersa. There’s going to be ample time for lunch at a Moroccan restaurant nearby. You may identify the holy hue of Islam in the mosaics of the Bab Boujloud archway, which shift from blue on the exterior wall to green on the inside wall. Wander around the markets and streets of the medina. Afterwards, we’ll take you to a high vantage point with an amazing view of Fes El-Enormous Bali’s medina. For dinner and accommodation, they stayed in the same riad in the medina.
After breakfast, we’ll head south through Midelt and Errachidia to the desert of Merzouga. First up on your itinerary is Ifrane, sometimes referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco.” Merzouga is accessible via the Ziz Valley and Midlet. During this trip, you will be able to see the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Visit Morocco’s largest cedar forest after that to get a chance to see Barbarian monkeys in action. You’ll note that the terrain shifts as you get closer to Errachidia, showing signs of the desert. You will then resume your drive through the stunning Ziz Valley after lunch in Midelt, making stops along the way to take in the expansive views.
Arriving at Merzouga at the end of the day, you will be greeted with a drink of mint tea before riding a camel to the tallest sand dunes in Morocco to watch the sunset and spend the night there in a desert camp.
After spending the night in the desert and enjoying a filling breakfast that your camel guide has prepared, you might witness the most magnificent dawn of your life. After that, as the day wears on, you will silently ride a camel back to your starting place and enjoy the ever-changing beauty of the Erg Chebbi dunes. The tallest and narrowest canyons in Morocco, the Tinghir and Todra gorges, await you when you meet your driver. You will be able to hike along the valley from here. After that, we’ll go via the Dades Valley, where you can see the amazing “monkey toes” rock formations and wonderful sand castles. We’ll spend the final night in a hotel or riad in the heart of the gorges
After breakfast, we will cross the Dades Valley to reach Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate, which are our next stops. You will have numerous chances to take some of the best pictures of your trip along the Way of a Thousand Kasbahs, which winds through Dades Valley. Additionally, we will make a visit at Kalaat Mgouna, which is commonly referred to as the “city of roses,” in order to get rosewater, which will keep your linens smelling wonderful long after the vacation is over. Next, continue to Ouarzazate, sometimes referred to as “Hollywood of Africa.”
Next, lunch on this 7-day tour departing from Casablanca will be to the well-known Ait Ben Haddou kasbah. Situated in the province of Ouarzazat in the Draa-Tafilalet area of southern Morocco, this is the most famous “fortified town” or ksar/kasbah in Morocco. To put it mildly, this walled adobe village, or ksar, is fascinating. There have been several iconic movies and historic Moroccan buildings filmed there. We’ll continue traveling through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains’ Tizi n’ Tichka Pass (2260 m). Before we leave you off at your Marrakech hotel, where the tour concludes, you may discover how argan oil is manufactured at the women’s cooperatives.
