Itinerary of 6 Days desert tour from Casablanca

We will meet you at the Casablanca airport or hotel where you are staying to commence our 6-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech. We will visit the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, which is frequently regarded as the best mosque in all of Africa. Following that, we travel to Rabat, one of Morocco’s four imperial towns and the country’s capital.

We are going to take a tour of some of the most well-known sights in the city, including the Oudaya Kasbah, Chellah, and the Hassan Tower. Lunches will be at our leisure. After lunch, we’ll hop on the freeway and drive directly to Fes, known as the “spiritual center of Morocco.” In order to have dinner and spend the night at a typical riad or hotel in the heart of the old medina, we will travel to Fes in the late afternoon or early evening.

Explore Morocco’s most ancient and cultural city after breakfast. Explore the ancient city of Fes, dubbed “the spiritual capital of Morocco,” by taking a medina tour. The Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the Royal Palace, with its exquisite mosaic architecture and golden doors, are included in our guided tour of Fez. In the eleventh century, the city’s principal leather workshop was Chaouwara Tanneries. One of the oldest institutions in the world and a historic center of Islamic education, Kairaouine Mosque is closed to non-Muslims, yet you can still see the courtyard from the gates. Notable examples of Islamic architecture are the Al-Attarine Madrassa and the Najjarine Marble Fountain.

Bou Inania Medersa is among the most impressive religious colleges in Fes. We’re going to a Moroccan restaurant for lunch. The inside wall of Bab Boujloud’s mosaics is green, which is considered a sacred color in Islam, whereas the exterior wall is blue. Explore the marketplaces and streets of Medina. Later, we’ll take you to a vantage position where you can see Fes El-medina Bali. We slept and ate at the same medina riad.

After breakfast, we travel out of Fes and across the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’re going to stop at Ifrane. In order to see barbarian monkeys, we will make a halt in the Cedar Forest close to Azrou. After that, we carry on to Midelt, where we shall have lunch. We will go across the Tizi N’talghouma pass in the afternoon, passing through small Berber villages and the stunning Ziz Valley, which is close to the city of Errachidia, on our way to the Sahara desert. Next, we’ll travel through Aoufous and Erfoud to reach Merzouga. We will travel two hours to reach Erg-Chebbi, a beautiful sand dunes paradise, where we will spend the night in a tiny hotel, or riad, and eat dinner.

After breakfast, we’ll start our tour of the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. Merzouga Lake (which isn’t constantly full of water) to see the variety of species that come to live there, especially in the spring, like flamingos and ducks. We’re going to Khmliya village, where there will be a Gnawa performance by musicians. After that, we’ll carry on with our off-roading adventure into the desert to the shadowy area beyond the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. After that, we’ll go see a nomadic Berber family to learn more about their way of life. We’ll next visit an abandoned settlement where we might be able to find mineral fossils.

We are going to Khmliya again for a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant. To go to the desert camp in the afternoon, you will ride a camel across the breathtaking orange sand dunes. This is the ideal chance to uplift your spirits and enjoy a beautiful sunset from the middle of the sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp, where music is played and games are played on the sand dunes beneath an endless sky of stars.

It’s best to get up early the following morning to see the stunning dawn. After having breakfast and taking a shower, ride a camel or take a car back to the hamlet of Merzouga and proceed towards Rissani. On foot, we will tour the well-known, historic, and largest market in the area, paying particular attention to the handcrafted goods and locally made goods. When the market is open, Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday are the ideal days to visit Rissani.

Afterwards, we proceed to Tinghir via the Tafilalt Oasis, where we can see the medieval irrigation system of the oasis. We will go to Tinghir to see the stunning views of the Todra Valley and have a leisurely stroll along the orange cliffs of the Todra Gorge after arriving in Tinjdad, where we will have some free time for lunch. We will end the day in Boumalne Dades, a lush valley. Stay the night in a riad or hotel after dinner.

On our last day of our six-day vacation from Casablanca to Marrakech, we will visit Ouarzazate, Morocco’s star-studded gem, after breakfast. Heading to the picturesque and ancient Sahara Desert entryway, Kasbah Taourirte has been the backdrop for many Hollywood blockbusters. Along the journey, we will stop at a world-famous film studio, Atlas Studios. The ancient Ait-Benhaddou kasbah is the next attraction we visit. In the Draa-Tafilalet region of southern Morocco, in the province of Ouarzazat, sits the most well-known “fortified town” in Morocco, also known as a ksar or kesbah.

To put it mildly, this walled adobe village, or ksar, is interesting. It has been the site of many great films as well as the filming of historic Moroccan structures. We will see the Kasbah and then have lunch at a nearby restaurant. We arrive at Marrakech, our ultimate objective, in the afternoon after traversing the High Atlas Passes. Along the way, we’ll pause to enjoy the breath-taking views of the Tizi N’Tichka pass and the Atlas Mountains. We will take you to your accommodation in Marrakech.
