2 nights in Merzouga desert and camel trekking
If you did not go on desert excursions, your trip to Morocco would not be complete. Merzouga is regarded as one of the most popular tourist sites in Morocco and the world because of the stunning golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi as well as the sunrise and sunset.
Seeing the sands of the Sahara Desert from the saddle of a camel on the dunes of Erg Chebbi is one of the most well-liked activities in Morocco. Additionally, you can stay a night or two in a Berber tent outside while listening to the music played on traditional Berber drums by the inhabitants. The ideal way to experience the Merzouga Desert is to spend two nights riding camels.
With our 2-night Camel Trekking in Merzouga, you can spend two nights in a desert camp. On the approach to the camp, you can take a camel ride across golden sand dunes and do some sandboarding while watching the sun set. After a delicious dinner on the first evening, you can sit outside and watch local nomads perform Berber music. You are welcome to dance to the ferocious music.
You’ll get up early the following morning to see the stunning sunrise over Erg Chebbi’s enormous sand dunes. The light will create a multitude of patterns and colors on the sea of sand dunes. After that, you’ll leave the sand dunes and hop on a 4×4 to start your day-long adventure through the desert.

Itinerary of 2 nights in Merzouga desert and camel trekking
When you get here, we’ll drive your 4×4-bags to the camp. We will set off on our camel ride to our overnight resort in the desert at approximately 5:30 p.m. A camel guide will accompany you on the excursion to the desert camp, providing guidance and assistance as needed. The desert camel ride will be a fantastic chance to get stunning pictures of the desert’s sunset. It will take one and a half hours to get to the camp by camel. You can pause in the desert to see the sunset, or you can watch it from the sand dunes next to your camp.
Your personal tent will be shown to you by our staff. Next, a cup of mint tea will be brought out. Following dinner, we’ll get together around the fire to dance, listen to Berber music, and hear about the Berbers’ nomadic way of life. At last, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a stargazing walk in the desert at night before going to sleep.
We will start our trip to Merzouga to tour a number of fascinating locations around the Erg Chebbi dunes after breakfast at your camp. We’ll get to meet a nomadic Berber family who continues to live in a tent in the middle of the black desert, enjoy a drink of mint tea with them, and gain insight into their way of life. We shall go on to the M’ifis mines later. The Merzouga desert is well-known for its minerals and fossils in addition to its tourism industry.
We will go to the village of Khamlia during our 4×4 journey through the Merzouga desert. If you would like to hear the Gnawa music played by the dark-skinned immigrants who were taken to Morocco over a century ago and were slaves, let us know. We’ll pause at many picturesque locations to soak in the view and take photos. We’ll eat lunch at a nearby restaurant and then head back to the camp.
We suggest rising early to witness a stunning dawn over the sand dunes. Following these enjoyable moments, you will enjoy a delectable breakfast and a shower at the camp. If you choose not to ride the camels, you can then ride the camels back to the starting location or go straight from the camp to the village.
